This piece discussed whether or not kids should go to college and the importance of it. Also discussing the points of whether there’re too many kids going. While using Charles Murray and Jeffrey Schure’s discussion of the way of going to college will help you become a critical thinker and a better functioning member of society. I however took the side of going to college, but leaned toward the reasoning of “you don’t need it.” Personally, I believe there are better options than the four-year college experience, like a trade school or even going into other multipurpose fields. For example, one of my friends Ryan is working in the trades and he’s enjoying every minute of it. In a way community, college is a wise choice, you can save yourself a lot of money and time. However, I do think he will miss out on the “college experience,” but you’ll have to read more into it to figure it out.
