The News Release Project

Press Release (Draft)

Press Release (Final)

Peer Review Reflection

I think overall the newsletter peer review process is going well as we have written two draft versions with reviews and all. The important thing we had to focus on was the tone and who we were trying to pitch it to. In the beginning, it was rough to formulate a plan/idea but as we received edits and other crucial information regarding the assignment, things became more apparent. I think as a group we are working well together, as all of our ideas are being translated into the presentation piece of the project. The speed bumps we are running into are minor issues like visuals, what to specifically say, dialogue, etc. But those kinks will eventually be worked out. For our group in particular we are trying to go for an upbeat and trendy vibe and make the product relatable for everyone.

My Role During the Project

Though I do not like to assign roles during projects, I would say I defaulted as the leader of my group. I made sure things were going smoothly and that we were on track for the most part. Not only but I also made sure that everyone in my group was satisfied with the work we were all competing together. In order to do this we have had to sever shared Word documents and text chains, so that way there was no miscommunication at hand. Furthermore, when it came down to presenting, we all made sure that everyone was voicing their fair share as well as not making it stressful even though it is hard sometimes. However, to be quite honest, even though I might have been the “leader” as a default, I would say everyone worked fairly, ideas and discussions were had democratically, and I was not the only one giving out orders.
