Take Time for Yourself

This last lesson is probably the most important lesson you can ever learn in college, taking time for yourself. We all know what’s like to be grinding for hours on homework and assignments, we know, it sucks. However, our advice to you is to step back and breathe. Because the work will still be there when you come back. Go for a walk, hang out with your friends, watch a movie, hit the gym, or whatever you find relaxes the mind do it! At the University of New England, there are tons of fun clubs you can join to put yourself out there and have some fun. The one thing that makes all first-year students at a university drop out within the first year and that is burnout. Do not overwork yourself and make sure you are eating and drinking water. If you are dealing with mental health issues, please talk to someone, because when you put yourself first, it will help you succeed in life. There are many amazing staff and professors here at UNE who are willing to talk if you need to vent. And I’m sure your friends wouldn’t mind a chat or two. Though time management is important, making sure your health and mental health are far more important, we guarantee it.
