Teachers are super important during your time here at UNE. We have all agreed that they are probably one of the best resources you have at your disposal. All the teachers here at UNE are super helpful and supportive during your academic careers. If you need help on an assignment or you have any questions, they will always be there for you. Never feel embarrassed to reach out and ask a teacher for help or for guidance on anything. In terms of internships or job applications, teachers can help you figure out what you want to do as well as give you advice on how they started out. Many if not all teachers will offer office hours so you can meet one on one with them. Some even offer virtual hours. Tteachers will usually tell you their office hours but most of the time check your syllabus for a better representation of their hours if you forget. We know firsthand how difficult it can be to talk to a teacher about grades or tests but trust me when I say this, they want you to succeed. They will do everything they can to help you on your academic journey. The most important thing, however, is to be proactive. A teacher can only help you so much without any guidance. But I guarantee that if you go in with a positive attitude and a plan, the teacher will be super excited to have a conversation with you about anything.
